After a student has been officially graduated, the last step will be the production of the Saginaw Valley State University diploma. Once the diploma is printed, it is packaged along with an unofficial copy of the transcript. The official posting of a degree is done after the Commencment Ceremony.
Official copies of the transcript can be ordered online and sent to destination of choice directly by the graduate.
After all the semester grades have been turned in and verified, the Registrar and Associate Registrar will start to officially graduate students. They will conduct a finale degree audit and verify that all requirements have been met. If a student's requirements have not been meet, they will notify the student and move their aniticpated graduation date to the next cycle.
Once a student's degree has been posted, our office will start to print and mail out their diplomas.
Sometimes this process can take a couple of months to complete.
