We understand the unique needs of military members. Our specialized support system helps active, guard and reserve service members, Veterans and their dependents achieve their academic goals.

SVSU Military Scholarships

Criteria

  • Returning
  • Undergraduate
  • Full-Time
  • Sophomore
  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5
  • Veterans or currently active reserve of the U.S. Military

Criteria

  • Undergraduate Returning
  • Full-Time
  • Must be a military member or dependent of a military member
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0
  • Preference will be given to actively drilling members of any branch of the ready reserves (Navy Reserve, Amy/
    Air National Guard, Amy Reserve, Marine Corps Reserve)

Criteria

  • Returning
  • Full-Time
  • The recipient must be a veteran who has served at least one year in full-time military
  • service with the US Army.  However, veterans who have served in the Navy or Air
  • Force may be considered if a qualified US Army veteran cannot be selected
  • Must be a Michigan Resident
  • Demonstrate Need
  • Minimum Cumulative GPA of 2.75

  • Graduated from a High School in Bay, Saginaw or Midland Counties
  • HS GPA not exceeding 2.75
  • Financial Need
