Are you a high school senior or SVSU freshman with strong academic potential, some prior leadership experience, and an interest in majoring in business? The Garber Cardinal Business Edge (GCBE) Program is an SVSU Program of Distinction that offers you the opportunity to grow professionally and gain leadership skills as you complete amazing in-class, and field based activities with your peers under the mentorship of senior leaders in the Scott L. Carmona College of Business.
We are proud and honored to introduce you to our CBE leadership development program. The CBE program provides freshman- and sophomore-level SVSU students in the Scott L. Carmona College of Business with exciting in-class, field-based, networking, mentoring, and co-curricular travel experiences to help them develop their leadership skills, abilities and talents, and realize their leadership potential.
Early in the CBE program we focus on the development of students' self-awareness of their leadership and teamwork tendencies as this knowledge is foundational for highly effective and successful leadership. Special seminars explore leadership theories, as well as their practical application. Students engage with faculty mentors, senior executives and business professionals, to learn from their rich and varied leadership experiences. Also, students are prepared for and encouraged to take on key leadership roles in student and community organizations that allow them to test, hone and demonstrate their leadership skills in real-world environments.
Please feel free to contact Dr. Amy Hendrickson, Program Coordinator, at (989) 964-2172 or email@example.com if you have any questions regarding the program.
All the best, Prospective Cardinals!
