Apply for SVSU's Private Scholarships

Complete ONE online form... and you will apply for SVSU's private scholarships in the 2020–21 academic year. Applicants will be considered for the scholarships they qualify for, based on their responses to the form’s questions. Students may be asked additional questions to qualify for other scholarships. Scholarships can be awarded based on a number of criteria, including students’ community service, essay responses and financial need (based on information from FAFSA).

Newly Admitted

Those starting their first semester at SVSU, including undergraduate (freshmen and transfer students), graduate, and international students, may apply for private scholarships beginning December 1, 2019. You will need your SVSU username and password to apply. This is included in your acceptance letter. If you need assistance finding it, please email us at


Returning Students

Current SVSU students with a username and password may apply for scholarships here. Applications submitted prior to November 2, 2019, will be considered for the remaining 2019-2020 scholarships. To apply for 2020-21 scholarships, please apply after Dec. 1, 2019.
