The Red & White Award is our largest academic scholarship available to international students at SVSU.

International students are typically charged the non-resident (out-of-state) tuition rate. The SV Red & White Award serves as a tuition reduction that lowers the total semester tuition to an amount that is equal to the resident tuition rate plus a flat fee of $750 per semester.

The President’s International Scholarship ranges from $1,000 to $5,000 per year. It is awarded to international students as a lump sum which can be used for tuition and fees. This competitive scholarship is awarded to students who have achieved a high level of academic success prior to joining SVSU. Student must be fully-enrolled at SVSU to use this scholarship.

The SVSU YES & FLEX Alumni Scholarship is awarded to international undergraduate and graduate students in recognition of exemplary academic achievement and participation in the Kennedy-Lugar Youth Exchange and Study (YES) program or Future Leaders Exchange (FLEX) programs. The SVSU YES & FLEX Alumni Scholarship is a renewable award of $1,500 per year.

The GAC Pathway Scholarship is awarded to students who have successfully completed the Global Assessment Certificate (GAC) Program at a recognized GAC center anywhere in the world. In recognition of the rigorous requirements and coursework of the GAC program, all GAC graduates are automatically awarded the one-time $2,000 GAC Pathway Scholarship.
