A variety of emergency notification strategies and systems are used to alert the community of incidents and safety quickly, security and crime prevention programs are readily available to heighten awareness and ensure SVSU continues as a safe campus.
Keeping our community safe is a top priority! Being recognized as StormReady by the National Weather Service means we are committed to preparing for severe weather and helping protect the people who live, work, and visit our community.
Through emergency planning, weather monitoring, effective communication, and ongoing training, we are better prepared to respond when severe weather strikes.
While we can't control the weather, we can take steps to be ready for it. Together, we're building a safer, stronger, and more weather-ready community!
