The Testing Center at SVSU employs a Registered ServSafe Proctor who is authorized to provide the ServSafe Food Protection Manager Certification Examination. The ServSafe exam can be taken online or via a paper booklet. For paper exams, it is the examinee’s responsibility to let the proctor know no less than two weeks before the test date to ensure that the proctor can get the test in time. In the case of online exams, the examinee must have their access code with them on test day. Questions regarding exam content or retakes should be directed to the National Restaurant Association, questions regarding testing policies or procedures should be directed to the Testing Center by emailing email@example.com or calling (989) 964-2820.

If a student cannot come to a scheduled exam, they may reschedule and/or cancel their appointment in one of two ways:
If payment has been made, the Testing Center will try to move the exam to another date so that the tester can avoid having to pay twice for the same exam. If the tester has scheduled for an exam they no longer need, and payment has been made, they can request a refund using the following steps:
Refunds to the original credit/debit card used will be administered within five business days; processing fees from RegisterBlast cannot be refunded. Testers who do not contact the Center will be considered no shows and will not receive a refund. Examinees must contact ServSafe to discuss a refund for their test. The Testing Center can only refund the fees that it has collected. Examinees will not be allowed to leave the Testing Center with any exam materials or leave and come back at a later time/date to complete the test.
