Make-Up Exams

As a service to our students and faculty, the Testing Center offers make-up tests at the discretion of the instructor. There is no charge for this service. The exam, any directions, and a list of permitted items will be provided by the faculty member and will be strictly adhered to. Students may not deliver completed exams to their instructor or leave and return later to continue an exam. Questions about Testing Center policies or procedures should be directed to testing@svsu.edu or (989) 964-2820. Questions about exam content, retakes, or other course-related matters should be directed to the instructor.

Testers are required to present a physical photo ID (student ID, driver's license, passport, or state ID) on test day; electronic IDs or "photos" of an ID will not be accepted. Testers who arrive without appropriate ID will not be allowed to test. No exceptions can be made to this policy.

Policies

Taking a Make-Up Exam

Appointments must be scheduled at least 24 hours in advance to ensure seating is available and exam materials have been received. Walk-in testing is not recommended. Students who are more than 10 minutes late for their appointment must reschedule. When booking an appointment, testers should allow enough time to complete their exam before the Center closes. Students are encouraged to consult their instructor regarding the expected length of the exam. All studying should be completed before entering the Center, and testers must present a valid photo ID during check-in.

Rescheduling and Cancellation Policy

Cancellations: Testers may cancel their appointment in one of two ways:

Go to RegisterBlast and follow the directions located under the "More Information" box on the website. RegisterBlast will not allow appointment changes within 24 hours of the scheduled time.
By contacting the Center via email at testing@svsu.edu or phone at (989) 964-2820.

Rescheduling: Testers should email the Center at testing@svsu.edu. The message should include their name, the professor/class information, the original test day/time, and a potential new appointment day/time.
