Accuplacer Placement Testing for Non-SVSU Students

The SVSU Testing Center offers Accuplacer placement testing for students from other institutions through the Accuplacer Voucher Program.

To test at SVSU:

  1. Students must contact their institution and request an Accuplacer voucher to be made for "The Testing Center at SVSU (RPT)."
  2. After the voucher is made, they can schedule an appointment with the Center.  When completing the scheduling form, they should choose "Non-SVSU Accuplacer Placement Testing" from the options listed.  A fee of $15 will be collected at the end of the form.
Note: Accuplacer vouchers may have expiration dates. Students are responsible for testing before their voucher expires. Expired vouchers cannot be accepted, and the SVSU Testing Center cannot create replacement vouchers for non-SVSU students.
Questions about scheduling should be directed to the Testing Center at (989) 964-2820 or testing@svsu.edu. Information about rescheduling, cancellations, and refunds is available on the Testing Center’s policy website.

On Test Day:

Examinees must present a physical photo ID (student ID, driver's license, passport, or state ID); electronic IDs or "photos" of an ID will not be accepted.  No exceptions can be made to this policy.  It is also recommended that the student bring a copy of their voucher to their appointment.

The Center will provide scrap paper and pencils.  For the Accuplacer Math Placement exam, a calculator is already built into the program and is the only calculator allowed for this test unless written permission is given by the original institution.  Students who have testing accommodations should contact both their school and the Testing Center directly to make any necessary arrangements.  The Center has no prior knowledge of the test content or layout; questions regarding these topics should be directed to the student's academic institution.
