SVSU Campus Alert
Emergency Notification System (ENS) Registration & Contact Information Maintenance
Saginaw Valley State University has partnered with Rave Mobile Safety to provide an emergency notification system capable of delivering messages to SVSU email accounts, personal email addresses, land lines and mobile phones.
The SVSU Campus Alert system will be used to report any critical incidents, severe weather threats or campus delays/closures due to inclement weather.
ALL students, faculty, adjunct faculty and employees (including ARAMARK and Barnes & Noble employees) are automatically enrolled in this alert system with their SVSU email address. However, individuals are strongly encouraged to enable as many contact methods as possible beyond the SVSU email notification to increase the likelihood of receiving a given broadcast alert message. This enables SVSU to provide notification of a reportable critical incident to the entire campus community and assists with maintaining Clery Act compliance.
Individuals may register up to:
- Two (2) additional email accounts
- Three (3) mobile phone numbers (NOTE: Mobile service plans may charge for the delivery of text messages.)
- Three (3) voice only phone numbers
Adding and deleting contact information is simple and only takes a few minutes. Go to www.getrave.com/login/svsu and log in with your SVSU user name and password (the same user name and password for e-mail and other SVSU services).
Adding/Deleting Contact Information
- To add a mobile number, voice only contact or additional email address, click the Add button. If the Add button is not present, you have reached the maximum number of contacts for that device type or email address.
- The mobile number entry includes a confirmation process that will text you a code to enter on the website to confirm receipt of the message and complete the registration process.
- The Edit buttons allow you to change your existing contact information or select an alternate Text/Email language preference.
- The Delete button will allow you to delete the selected contact number or email address.
- Clicking the test button will send a message to the mobile contact or email address selected.
- Note: You cannot modify or delete your Registration email, which is your SVSU email address.
There is a "Help" link at the upper right portion of the User page that provides answers to many of the frequently asked questions regarding the SVSU Campus Alert system. If you have unanswered questions after reviewing the "Help" page or difficulty accessing your user record, please contact the SVSU Support Center or (989) 964-4225 for assistance.

By enrolling your contact information in SVSU Campus Alert, you agree to the following terms:
