"I prefer to work with film because I feel it lends authenticity to the techniques I am working with. It also allows the images to be manipulated in a very direct and physical way. The techniques that I've employed in my series are multiple exposure and solarization. Multiple exposure photography involves capturing two or more images within one frame of film. Film solarization is a more complex technique in which the film is re-exposed to light before being fully developed. In my series, I'm exploring how the impact of a portrait can be altered through these techniques and the resulting dichotomies created by texture, artifact, color and tonal value."

Logan Mooney is from Tawas Michigan and will be receiving his Bachelors of Fine Arts in Graphic Design.

"My illustrations make use of bright, colorful, and complex vector graphic compositions which narrate ambiguous, visual allegories. These illustrations are produced on skateboard decks, which exist within a brand that I’ve created to give the series a marketable home. Creating things like a unique logo, branding guidelines, product mock-ups, and other such materials has put the design skills and practices I’ve learned at SVSU to the ultimate test."
