2026 INTERNATIONAL CARDINAL VIDEO SHOWCASE

Share Your SVSU Experience – Win Up to $300
Deadline: March 31, 2026

International students — we want to highlight your story. Create a 2–3 minute video sharing your experience at SVSU. Your voice can help future students understand what life here is really like.

Submit Your Video

  • An individual video
  • A group video
  • Multiple short videos created by a team

Teams are welcome. If a group wins, the prize may be shared among members.

What Could You Film?

You have full creative freedom. Possible ideas include:

  • A day in your life at SVSU
  • A favorite class experience
  • Student excursions or campus trips
  • Interacting with local community members
  • Cultural exchange moments
  • A challenge you faced and how you adapted
  • Advice for future international students
  • Highlights from your time here

You do not need to follow a strict format. These are simply suggestions.

Optional details you might include:

  • Where you are from
  • What surprised you when you arrived
  • What helped you succeed
  • What you would tell a new student

Technical Details

  • Phone videos are completely acceptable
  • Professional editing is not required
  • Typical formats such as .mp4, .mov, or .mpg are fine

We are seeking 3–5 strong submissions. Early submissions are encouraged.

To submit your file, upload your file using this link: Competition Entry. You may share a private download link (Google Drive, OneDrive, etc.).

If you are interested but unsure how to edit, you may submit raw footage. The Office of International Programs will work with you to polish the final version.

Prizes

  • Total prize value: approximately $600
  • Prizes will be purchased on behalf of the winners through the Office of International Programs.

OIP reserves all rights to post submissions online and use them as promotional materials.
