SV Red & White Award

The SV Red & White Award is designed for out of state undergraduate students allowing them to attend SVSU at a significantly reduced out-of-state residency rate. To use your SV Red & White Scholarship for the Spring/Summer semester please complete the Spring/Summer Aid Request Form before any payment due date and return it to the Campus Financial Services Center. You must already be a recipient of the scholarship, this is not an application.

Eligibility Terms

Non-Michigan Residents AND United States Citizens or Permanent Residents:

  • FRESHMAN - Must meet minimum enrollment requirements.
  • TRANSFER/SECOND BACHELOR'S/TEACHER CERTIFICATION STUDENTS – Must meet all minimum admission requirements for each respective program.

International Students:

Award

-Allows for a reduced nonresident tuition rate for all semesters

Enrollment Requirements

No minimum enrollment requirement

2022-24 Academic Year Criteria

Eligibility Terms

Non-Michigan Residents AND United States Citizens or Permanent Residents:

  • FRESHMAN - Must have a minimum 2.5 cumulative high school GPA.
  • TRANSFER/SECOND BACHELOR'S/GRADUATE/TEACHER CERTIFICATION STUDENTS – Students are eligible provided they meet the residency requirements listed above and meet all minimum admission requirements for each respective program.

Countries meeting diversification needs:

Award

-Allows for a reduced nonresident tuition rate for all semesters
-The student will pay the resident rate plus a set additional amount
-These additional amounts are as follows: $750 for Fall, $750 for Winter, $200 for Spring and $200 for Summer
