Resident Student Handbook - Amenities

These are a list of amenities provided to you by the university.

Amenities

Residential facilities provide lobbies and study lounges for the use of the housing residents. In addition, volleyball and basketball courts are available for use. However, users must adhere to the posted quiet/courtesy hours.

University Village West and Pine Grove Apartments each have a community center allowing groups to gather for programming or meetings. Each community center is equipped with television, game equipment and a kitchen area. When these spaces are not reserved, students are welcome to utilize them for study or recreational purposes.

To reserve a community center, please connect with the Resident Director of the facility at least one week prior to the event. It is important to review the reservation form in its entirety before making a reservation. To find out if space is available, please email reslife@svsu.edu.

All university housing facilities are fully-furnished. While it is not necessary to bring furniture, students are encouraged to personalize their rooms. However, please do not put holes in any surfaces. The most common damage charges assessed to residents are for tack holes in walls and adhesive damage from tape. University furnishings and property are not to be removed from the rooms.

For a complete list of furnishings and other amenities by residential facility please refer to the list below.

Local telephone service is provided at these courtesy phones.
