About

Students in the Economics and Data Analytics (BS) program focus on building a foundation of economic thought and learning to employ computational tools and approaches to extract meaningful insights from data. Their analyses enable them to anticipate trends, address business dilemmas, assist organizations in comprehending their influence, and foster more equitable and efficient decision-making processes. Students will learn to turn data into information and information into insight. In addition, students will get hands-on training with software such as R, Python, and Stata. The degree provides students with a comprehensive view of economics and business data analytics.

What You’ll Study

SVSU's Economics and Data Analytics (BS) program offers a thorough education in both macro- and microeconomics along with business data analytics. Students will learn how to collect, interpret, and analyze data to make effective business decisions guided by economic theory. Students will also learn cutting-edge computer programing allowing them to use big data to predict future outcomes.
