Early Childhood Organization (ECO)

The purpose of the Early Childhood Organization (ECO) is to bring together undergraduates at Saginaw Valley State UniversityLogo of the Early Childhood Organization at SVSU in a student organization:

  • focused on networking in the field of early childhood education,
  • advocating the interests of early childhood education,
  • providing service to the community, particularly families of children age eight and younger, and
  • fostering friendships between members.

ECO holds monthly meetings for members. All SVSU students interested in early childhood are invited to attend. This includes students not yet admitted into the program, as well as, students in related programs (nursing, social work, OT, etc) who want to work with young children.

For more information or to inquire about the meeting schedule, please email the ECO faculty advisor, Dr. Colleen D'Arcy.
