Judith Kerman Faculty Teaching, and Mentoring Prize in Technology and Culture

This prize is intended to recognize the important relationship—for the benefit of students and their university success–between teaching, classroom learning, and mentorship through research opportunities in the significance of technology from a humanities perspective. In other words, proposed research should focus on the impact of technology on humanities education. How does the change affect the relationship between students and faculty? How does it impact teaching? What is the cultural and social impact? (i.e., similar to the way Zoom impacted how people meet and communicate, though with emphasis on a higher education scenario.) The project may involve new or evolving teaching technologies.

Proposals will be accepted year-round.

One award of $5,000 is available annually.

To apply, learn more and view grant guidelines, visit InfoReady, SVSU’s online internal grant application tool. The grant guidelines and applications only appear when being accepted, typically 90 days prior to the due date.

Applications are accepted on an on-going basis.
