Research: Linking Management Actions to Multiple Ecological Benefits via Integrated Modeling for U of M Water

SBESI Director and H. H. Dow Endowed Chair of Chemistry, Dr. David Karpovich leads this highly collaborative analytical and  practical study designed to ultimately guide effective remediation practices and fund use.  Professional scientists joining Karpovich and SVSU student researchers in this ambitious scientific effort represent the following organizations; LimnoTech, The Nature Conservancy, Michigan Department of Agricultural and Rural Development, Michigan Department of Environmental Quality, Michigan Department of Natural Resources, United States Natural Resource Conservation Service, and the Michigan State University Institute of Water Research.  In addition to Dr. Karpovich, SVSU researchers involved in the Saginaw ODM project include Dr. Arthur Martin-Biology, Dr. Rhett Mohler and Dr. Andrew Miller, Geography, and Dr. Kyle Cissell of Chemistry.
