Fluid Mechanics Lab (P149)

RTEmagicC_fluids4           RTEmagicC_fluids3

The Fluid Mechanics Lab provides the necessary equipment to conduct experiments on measuring fluid properties and the movement of fluids. The lab also houses the department's wind tunnel. Students use the wind tunnel to conduct experiments on the lift and drag of airfoil shapes and measure the pressure distribution around the airfoils. Additionally, this lab is used to assist in product development by local companies in association with SVSU's Independent Testing Laboratory.
