Employees with a 50% FTE with at least a 1-year appointment. Qualified employees are eligible to receive 50-75% of their SVSU tuition waived. In addition, spouses and eligible children of full-time employees, benefit eligible part-time employees and SVSU retirees’ may receive a 50% tuition waiver.
The waiver/scholarship covers only tuition, course-related fees and listeners permits but does not extend to study abroad, books, late registration or other related fees. The University provides paid sick time to Administrative Professional employees with an appointment of one year or more, based on number of years of service and full-time equivalency.
Sick Time Policy
Part-time Administrative Professional employees, normally scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week, accrue vacation time on a proportionate basis.

Every 30 hours worked, you will earn 1 hour of sick time.
