Criminal History File Search

To ensure the safety and welfare of the University's students, faculty, staff and visitors, SVSU requires a background check of all service providers, including but not limited to: employees, independent contractors and volunteers prior to engaging in services.

1. As a prospective service provider of Saginaw Valley State University (SVSU), I understand that it is the policy of SVSU to secure investigative background inquiries as part of their screening process using the information provided below through the Central Records Division of the Michigan State Police, Lansing, Michigan and other public record sources. 
2. I authorize, without reservation, any party or agency contacted by SVSU to furnish the above-mentioned information.
3. I hereby consent to SVSU obtaining the above information and I release SVSU, its employees and those who supplied the University with the information from any liability for any damage that may result from furnishing the requested information or my failure to be awarded for the position for which I am applying.
