Giving Societies

SVSU and our students are grateful for the generosity of our donors. Thank to you, the university is able to provide academic and programmatic experiences that prepare students for success as well as scholarships that allow more to remain in school and on track to graduation.

Endowment Giving

Legacy Header

Legacy donors have generoulsy established over 200 endowed scholarship and fellowship programs that support lectures, concerts, outreach to regional school children and K-12 educators, grants for special projects, student excellence awards, faculty and staff recognition awards and awards to outstanding community educators and leaders. A named endowment fund will support a scholarship or program in your name or the name of a loved one or respected colleague in perpetuity. A minimum investment of $25,000 is required to establish an endowment, which may be achieved through a multi-year pledge. With SVSU's 4% distribution policy, each increment of $25,000 in value will result in approximately $1,000 in yearly earnings toward your designated purpose, assuming adequate market performance.
