Cardinals Vote
Cardinals Vote is a non-partisan initiative centered around connecting SVSU students with opportunities to engage in the democratic system through voter registration, candidate and ballot information, and ultimately, turning out to the polls to ensure student voices are heard in the electoral process.
Staff

Faculty Coordinator
Dr. Lorentz
Dr. Lorentz is an assistant professor of political science here at Saginaw Valley State University. He teaches courses in American politics, public law, and research methods. His research broadly focuses on American constitutional law, judicial politics, civic engagement and democratic learning, and the scholarship of teaching and learning (SoTL). Here at SVSU, he advises the College Republicans and the Pi Sigma Alpha political science honors society, and serves as a co-coach for the SVSU Moot Court team. Beyond his academic work, Dr. Lorentz has served as a long-time Michigan election canvasser responsible for auditing and certifying election results.
Student Coordinator
Noah Johnson
Noah Johnson is a third-year Political Science major at SVSU. He is the President of the SVSU College Democrats and the Deputy Programs Director for the Michigan College Democrats. His previous experiences in the civic and political world include working as an Election Inspector in 2020 and 2022, a Democracy Intern for Public Citizen to pass 2022's Proposal 2, in Senator Gary Peters's Saginaw Regional Office, and on Shadia Martini's campaign for the 54th state house district.
