Employment Fair FAQs
- Who can attend employment fairs? All SVSU Employment Fairs are open to students, alumni, and the community. We encourage students at all grade levels to begin thinking about their future by attending employment fairs beginning their freshman year.
- Do I need to pre-register? Registration is not required, however, students and alumni can register for each fair on Handshake. Community members do not need to register and are welcome to just check in on the day of the fair.
- Why should I attend? Whether you are actively seeking employment or not, attending job fairs helps you to build your network and learn about different opportunities and employers that you may not have considered before.

Employer FAQ's
Once your registration is approved on Handshake you will receive an invoice. Employer event registration fees must be submitted within 30 days following the event.
To submit payments, you have two options:
- Pay by check payable to SVSU Career Services and send to the following address as soon as possible:

- Or call our office at 989-964-4954 M-F 8 am-4:30 pm to process your payment
Fees are non-refundable for an organization cancelling within one week prior to the event. Future event registration for an organization with an unpaid balance due to non-remittance, late cancellation or non-attendance will not be approved until full payment is received. Access to all other recruiting services will also be denied.
