When The Snow Settles

Rachel LaBerge ‘14

This novella takes place after Rachel's first book, A Lodge Affair. While you could read this novella as a standalone, the best experience will be if you've read A Lodge Affair.

Ivy Lawson is back in New York City planning a red-carpet charity event for Sparks Wellness. She jumped at the chance to lead the project, even though it means spending a few weeks away from home — and from her grumpy lodge owner, Holland Holt.

Although life has changed since her fateful stay at The Emerald Canopy Lodge, Ivy still can't shake the feeling that if something can go wrong, it will.

Meanwhile, Holland is back at the lodge, dealing with his own challenges, including a life-changing decision he needs to make. He’s been keeping it a secret from Ivy, which has only made things more difficult.

Just before the charity event, Ivy and Holland manage to spend a few days together, but a severe snowstorm hits, bringing ice and chaos. What can be salvaged? And what will be lost?

SNAPT Photography

Tanika Williams '06

Tanika's love for photography began as a little girl. Her dad had a camera and constantly took photos of her family & friends. Her parents gifted her with her very own camera in 5th grade… and the rest is history! It commenced with capturing images of family… then friends & schoolmates. She is legit STILL the go-to person for throwback photos from grade school, and she has a large tote FULL of loose photos & albums. If ANYone she went to school with shares photos through senior year… there is at least a 95% chance it came from Tanika's camera.

Photography was a hobby and has evolved into a genuine passion. When it comes to photo sessions, She strives to make my clients realize they are masterpieces and to show them how stunning they truly are.
