Distinguished Alumni Awards
The Alumni Celebration recognizes SVSU Alumni whose personal and professional achievements have positively affected their community and strongly reflect the values of Saginaw Valley State University. Join us as we honor these alumni who represent the Cardinal Difference.
There are three types of awards given at the Alumni Celebration event: Distinguished, Veteran, and Young Alumni Awards.
The Distinguished Alumni Award is presented to a graduate of SVSU in recognition of distinguished service and accomplishment in any field of human endeavor that enhances the prestige of the University.
The Veteran Alumni Award is presented to an outstanding alum who has served our country with distinction through one of the armed forces and exemplifies their SVSU degree by creating personal and professional successes.
The Young Alumni Award is presented to an alum within 7 years of graduation who has contributed to student and campus life, has a strong affinity for and connection to SVSU, has been recognized for a strong work ethic, and has shown evidence of professional achievement and civic service.
