STEMapalooza

Attention Girl Scouts! Join SVSU’s Chemistry Club, Nexteer Automotive STEM Professionals, and Girl Scout leaders in hands-on STEM activities at SVSU such as making DNA bracelets, constructing terrariums, making catapults, and more. Register your troop through the Girl Scouts Heart of Michigan office for the next STEMapalooza!

Girl Scouts Badgefest Automotive Engineering

Join us as we explore automotive engineering design! Move through the engineering process as you design and sketch your very own vehicle, learn about simple machines, prototypes and testing. Experience the manufacturing process and plan your own process to manufacture a set of vehicles! A big thank you to Nexteer Automotive, the Great Lakes Bay Manufacturers Association, and the Girl Scouts Heart of Michigan for partnering with us for this program.

Program date: Saturday, November 12, 2022, 9:00 am - 12:00 pm

Note: Girl Scouts will earn and receive the Automotive Engineering, Automotive Design and Automotive Manufacturing badges.

SMEK Junior

Building mini golf courses, engineering bubble wands, solar-roasted smores, LEGO robots...what’s not to like!? This 3-day camp allows 2nd-4th grade students to explore science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics through a variety of hands-on activities.
