Substance Use Disorder - Case Presentation

Case presentations offer an opportunity to brainstorm evidence-based solutions or share successes with colleagues and other professionals around the state and nation.

Benefits of presenting a case during an ECHO session include:

  • Receive feedback on current strategies
  • Learn how to implement best practices with fidelity
  • Improve individuals and program outcomes by reducing variations in services and supports

How to present a case:

Prior to the presentation:

Complete a case form Substance Use Disorder ECHO Patient Case Presentation Form 2023 (136KB) (Microsoft Word) or a PDF SUD ECHO Case Presentation Form (189KB) and submit the form to echo@svsu.edu. We will review your case and the program coordinator will contact you to schedule a date to present.

During the session:

  • The facilitator will introduce the case presenter.
  • The case form will be shared with the group and the presenter will present the case details.
  • Clarifying questions: The facilitator will ask the audience and expert HUB team members to ask questions about the case. The case presenter will respond with the information that is available. (The case presenter may not know or be able to give all of the information).
  • Recommendations: The facilitator will ask the audience and expert HUB team members for their recommendations on the case.

After the session:

The HUB teams recommendations will be summarized and typed in a document that will be sent to the case presenter for their benefit.
