SMEKplus Camps
The Science and Mathematics Extravaganza for Kids (SMEKplus) summer camps are designed to involve area students, grades 2-8, in engaging, age-appropriate science, technology, engineering and mathematics enrichment activities. SMEK has been offered here at SVSU for over 20 years. Past activities include building a trebuchet, engineering bubble wands, studying organisms from our very own wetlands, LEGO robotics, constructing a mini golf course and more!
Students participating in this 3-day camp will experience hands-on, project-based lessons taught by area certified teachers and assisted by SVSU undergraduates aspiring to become teachers, as well as enjoy lunch in the Marketplace at Doan.

SMEKplus Senior Dates: July 22 - 24, 2025

SMEKplus Littles Camp (ages 5-6): July 29 - July 31, 2025, 8:00 am - 11:30 am - Program cost: $50.00
SMEKplus High School Camp (ages 15 - 18 and attending high school the 2025-2026 academic year): July 15 - July 17, 2025 - Program cost: $150.00
