Enjoy PreCore cardio equipment from treadmills and ellipticals to Cybex strength machines and free weights.  Whether you're looking for a pick-up basketball game, an indoor running track or are into bodybuilding you will find what you need at SVSU’s 2-story fitness center.   Cardinal Fitness Courses are offered throughout the year from Zumba to Boot Camp to fit all fitness levels and interests. Check out Campus Recreation for Intramural & Club Sports, Outdoor Adventures and Personal Training. Memberships are a benefit to students, faculty and staff and available to alumni and community members at a yearly fee.

Reservation System

At this time, SVSU students and employees may reserve up to a 1 1/2 hour time block at the Fitness Center and Pool.

  • Select the Reservation link and log-in using your SVSU username and password.
  • Reservations may be made 5 days in advance.  A confirmation email of your reservation will be provided.
  • Check-in as early as 5 minutes prior and no later than 45 minutes after your scheduled time has started.
  • If you are unable to keep your reserved work-out time, please cancel your reservation as soon as possible. 
  • Please note:  If you reserve a time block and fail to utilize your time, the following will occur:
    • The first offense will be an email warning from the Fitness Center/Pool for your missed reservation.
    • The second offense will be a second email warning from the Fitness Center/Pool.
    • The third offense will become ineligible to reserve Fitness Center/Pool time blocks.
