Ryder Center Membership Information

Employee Membership 

Each full-time employee is recognized as a member at the Ryder Center, at no cost to the employee. 

• Employee membership includes access to the Fitness Center, Pool and Raquetball Courts. 
  • Cardinal Fitness or Aquatic Classes are available for an additional registration fee.  
  • Employees have access to the faculty/staff locker room and may rent a locker on an annual basis (August - July). See the Ryder Center Customer Service desk for access and rental information.   

• TheCARD, the official SVSU employee identification card, serves as the membership card for all employees. Photo identification cards are issued at the Campus Financial Service Center on the first floor of Wickes during normal business hours. 
   

Areas used for Varsity Athletic training are not available for open recreation.  This includes O'Neill Arena, Fieldhouse and Herremans’ Family Weight Room.  

Employee-Spouse and Dependent Membership 

Spouses and/or dependents of full-time employees are also eligible for Ryder Center membership at no cost to the employee, spouse or dependents (up to 26 years of age). 

• To register a spouse and/or dependents, the employee must: 
  • login with username and password at https://recreation.svsu.edu/ and complete the spouse/dependent section under "my account."   
  • complete the Ryder Center Membership Cards for Spouses and Dependents form
    • Please allow up to 2 weeks for processing. 
    • All registered family members must visit the Ryder Center Customer Service desk to be issued a photo ID for Ryder Membership.

Student Spouse/Dependent Memberships

Students who wish to bring their spouses or dependents can purchase memberships for the semester. (A dependent is recognized as a tax-deductible dependent).

• Includes access to the Fitness Center, Pool and Racquetball Courts. 
• $75.00 per person per semester.
• The membership can be purchased at the Ryder Center offices. (No tax-deductible contribution)

Daily Guest Pass: $10/Per Guest/Per Day

A daily guest pass may be purchased which permits entry to the Ryder Center. The guest must be sponsored by an SVSU student, faculty, staff or current Ryder Center member. Individuals should check the availability of activity areas prior to purchasing a pass. Once a daily pass is purchased, the fee is not refundable.
