Ryder Center Membership Information

Memberships include use of the following:

  • Fitness Center - including 1st and 2nd floor along with the walking track
  • Pool during open swim hours
  • Campus Recreation Courts - depending on court availability
  • Racquetball Courts - depending court availability
  • Locker rooms with daily use lockers

Memberships DO NOT include use of:

  • O'Neill Arena
  • Fieldhouse
  • Hamilton Gym
  • Herremans' Family Weight Room (Varsity athletes only)

All memberships with the exception of Family and Family Alumni can be purchased online by clicking below.  Family and Family Alumni must be purchased in person at the Ryder Center desk.

Memberships

Employee Membership 

Each full-time & part-time employee is recognized as a member at the Ryder Center, at no cost to the employee.  Employee memberships include access to areas listed above as well as the following: 

    • Cardinal Fitness or Aquatic classes for an additional registration fee.  
    • Faculty/staff locker room. See the Ryder Center Customer Service desk for access code.   
  • TheCARD, the official SVSU employee identification card, serves as the membership card for all employees. Photo identification cards are issued at the Campus Financial Service Center on the first floor of Wickes during normal business hours. 
     

Employee-Spouse and Dependent Membership 

Spouses and/or dependents of full-time & part-time employees are also eligible for Ryder Center membership at no cost to the employee, spouse or dependents (up to 26 years of age). 

  • To register a spouse and/or dependents, the employee must:

Family Memberships must be purchased in person at the Ryder Center desk.

All members and guests must abide by all Ryder Center Terms of Use. Violators will be asked to leave the facility.

OSHER LIFELONG LEARNING INSTITUTE (OLLI) RYDER MEMBERSHIP - Must be a current member of OLLI

 $200 per person

SENIORS - Persons aged 62 and older are eligible.

 $250 per person

COLLEGE/UNIVERSITY STUDENT - Must provide current college picture ID.  Rate is per semester.

 $125 per person

MILITARY - Members of the military receive a discount when military ID is presented.

 $300 per person

KOCHVILLE TWP RESIDENTS - Must provide proof of residency.

Daily Guest Pass: $10/Per Guest/Per Day

A daily guest pass may be purchased which permits entry to the Ryder Center. The guest must be sponsored by an SVSU student, faculty, staff or current Ryder Center member. Individuals should check the availability of activity areas prior to purchasing a pass. Once a daily pass is purchased, the fee is not refundable.  Only two guest passes per member per day are allowed.
