Community Outreach

Service through Music Education!

Excellent professors. Talented college students. Regional high school students and their teachers looking for ways to enhance their love of music. Why not create opportunities to bring the two together? That is why the Department of Music at SVSU offers several outreach opportunities to area schools and high school students.

The fee per semester is $75 and more information is available through Dr. Paige Madden. The group performed at the Great Lakes Steelpan Festival in Crystal Lake, Illinois in 2014, shared the stage with St. Louis High School in a joint concert, and played in several mass steel band events at St. Louis High School as part of the Pan Rocks project..
