Cardinal Creative Writing Camp

Cardinal Creativity Camp‌Cardinal Creative Writing Camp 2018: "Developing Imagination"

The SVSU English Department and the Saginaw Bay Writing Project are proud to sponsor the Cardinal Creative Writing Camp, a week-long camp for students entering grades 6 to 12. Camp participants will spend four days (from 9 am - 3 pm) engaged in poetry, fiction and creative non-fiction writing workshops and exercises. Working directly with SVSU creative writing and education students, participants will be encouraged to explore their own creative writing process and collaborate with other creative writers. The camp ends with an open reading for friends and family, and the students' work is published in a camp anthology.

Mission:

Our mission is to provide a safe and supportive environment for young writers across the region to grow in their love of creative writing and develop their creative writing skills.
