Elementary ACR Admission Requirements

Saginaw Valley State University’s Elementary Accelerated Certification with Residency (ACR) program is for those with bachelor’s degrees or higher who want to obtain teaching certification in the state of Michigan.

1. Bachelor’s degree or higher from a regionally accredited institution
2. Minimum 3.0 grade point average (based on 4.00 scale) for students completing degrees in the past four years
3. Passing scores on the Michigan Test for Teacher Certification (MTTC) Professional Readiness Examination or Michigan Department of Education-approved alternative pass measures
4. Successful interview into the College of Education Teacher Education Program
