SVSU Outdoor Fitness Court: A Resource for Campus and Community Health, Wellness, and Learning

Welcome to the SVSU Outdoor Fitness Court

Saginaw Valley State University is committed to creating opportunities that promote health, wellness, physical activity, learning, and community engagement. The SVSU Outdoor Fitness Court, developed in partnership with the National Fitness Campaign, expands those opportunities by providing an accessible outdoor space for exercise, instruction, and wellness programming.

SVSU invested in the Fitness Court, which includes both the Fitness Court and the adjacent Studio space. Together, the two areas provide opportunities for individual exercise, group fitness, academic instruction, demonstrations, wellness programming, and community activities. The Fitness Court Studio is intended to serve SVSU students, faculty, and staff as well as members of the greater community. Whether someone is beginning a fitness journey, incorporating physical activity into an academic course, leading a group wellness activity, or looking for a new way to exercise outdoors, the Fitness Court Studio provides a flexible environment for movement and wellness.

The goal is simple: to make physical activity more accessible and create another place where SVSU and the community can come together around health and well-being.
