Students who choose faculty-led trips receive all the same benefits as other study abroad participants. Pre-departure orientation, emergency support, and re-entry support are included in the faculty-led study abroad programs.

Program providers are companies that work with SVSU to send students abroad. They help to coordinate the logistics for you by providing students with on-site orientations, securing housing, course registration, in-country support, cultural activities, excursions, and more.
On provider programs you'll have the option to choose between many different destinations, course options, housing options, and program dates. The Study Abroad Office has teamed up with the College of Education to offer future teachers the opportunity to complete part of their student teaching semester abroad. In partnership with Global Gateway, you have the option of completing half of your student teaching abroad semester in Michigan and the other half in one of many exciting destinations abroad!
K-12 and Secondary Education majors qualify.
