Undergraduate Mini Student-led Grant

Undergraduate Mini Student-led Grant

The purpose of this grant is to provide a small amount of seed money for students to initiate their own research. With the support of a faculty mentor, students in all disciplines are eligible. Projects can receive funding up to $250. Funding may be used for: research materials/supplies, incentives for research subject’s participation, special training fees and/or software licenses.

Eligibility: Any undergraduate student conducting an independent research project in any discipline is eligible. If the application is submitted by a group, name each person in the group.  Undergraduate students must be registered at least half time during the academic year (6 or more credits fall semester/6 or more credits winter semester). Students currently funded by a UGRP student-led grant, or who have previously received a mini student-led grant are ineligible.

Due date: First of the month, every month.  Once submitted, your proposal will be evaluated by faculty mentor (designated by applicant), department chair (coinciding with applicant’s major), and UGRP review committee. Decisions will be emailed by the end of the month if not before.
