Sabbatical

Faculty sabbatical leaves are limited to purposes that clearly promise reciprocal advantage to the faculty member and the University through enhancement of professional competence by engaging in study and research, writing, or cognitive pursuits.

Living expenses for faculty who are on sabbatical cannot be covered by a Faculty Research Grant (Unit Committee).

Eligibility: Proposals accepted from all full-time faculty with a minimum of six years of continuous service.

Applications are typically due in September of each calendar year.
