Field-Spicer Fellowship

The SVSU Foundation is pleased to announce the establishment of the Field-Spicer Fellowship Program. The Foundation will award annual fellowships to two faculty/staff for three-year appointments starting January 1^st following the award announcement.  Each fellow will receive supporting grants totaling up to $37,500 ($12,500 per year) during the three-year term to recognize and further their scholarly or professional activities.  Field-Spicer Fellows will be expected to produce a body of professional or academic work for publication or presentation during or at the conclusion of the Fellowship term. 

Full time faculty and staff who are appointed to the colleges of Science, Engineering, and Technology and the Crystal M. Lange College of Health and Human Services may apply for the award.  Preference will be given to projects which involve collaboration between the two colleges and an effort will be made to select one fellow from each college.  Applicants can apply individually or submit one joint proposal.  If a joint proposal is selected, funding will be provided to the one project, with total funding up to $75,000 ($25,000 per year).

Program announcements will be made toward the end of April annually.

The deadline to apply to the Fellowship Program is September 15 of each calendar year or the next business day should the date fall on a weekend. 

Notification of award occurs prior to the end of December.
