Public Health (Combined BS/MPH)

The Public Health degree has two options: (1) the traditional BS degree and (2) the combined BS/MPH degree. The BS/MPH program is created for undergraduate Public Health Students with an interest in pursuing an MPH degree. The combined program allows students to earn a BS in Public health and an MPH degree. Students admitted into the combined degree program will count 12 credits of graduate credits towards their undergraduate degree requirements.

Students in the combined BS/MPH program will take:

  • HS 500 Introduction to Public Health in place of HS 340 Principles of Public Health
  • HS 520 Public Health Grant & Proposal Writing in place of RPW 336 Grant seeking & Proposal Writing or RPW 440 Writing for Public Purposes
  • HS 610 Cultural Competency in Public Health in place of HS 336 Cultural Competence for Healthcare Professionals
  • HS 640 Epidemiology instead of HS 450 Epidemiology
