Student Opportunities in Mechanical Engineering

Small, student built LEGO, robot is climbing a ramp in the Introduction to Engineering course competition while spectators watch

Dr. Aneesha Gogineni shows a student the Solidworks model image on her tablet used for student research.

‌At SVSU, classroom learning is only part of a student's education. Experiencing real life situations, developing critical thinking skills, leadership, sharing and creating knowledge, and working in teams that compete in state and national competitions are part of what it means to experience mechanical engineering first hand. These experiences, through internship and co-op opportunities, student clubs and organizations, and research opportunities give our students an advantage before they enter the workplace.
