Hello, my name is Deb Gibson, and I am SVSU’s RN to BSN Coordinator and Advisor. I am a registered nurse, and my background is in public health where I worked for almost twenty years. I joined SVSU in 2007 and really like the atmosphere and working collaboratively with students. My job is to work with a student from start to finish, and my goal is accomplished when they graduate from SVSU with their bachelor’s degree. Watching students get pinned at Symposium, our nursing graduation celebration, and walking across the stage during our Commencement ceremony each semester is the best part of my job. I look forward to working with you so that I can watch you get pinned and accept your diploma cover at Commencement. I will help you each step of the way from academic planning and course registration to emailing you with reminders about course registration dates, important deadlines and your progress toward graduation.
