SVSU offers a variety of digital accessibility training opportunities to support faculty and staff. Training is designed to be flexible and practical, whether you prefer group sessions, hands-on guidance or one-on-one support.
Training may be offered in person or virtually, depending on the topic and format.
The Office of Accessibility Resources and Accommodations (ARA) supports our students’ educational experience by helping them access accommodations and services. In addition, the Office of Accessibility Resources and Accommodations collaborate with other university offices to provide a seamless transition and continued equitable experiences for students with disabilities.
IT offers workshops and sessions that include accessibility topics related to systems, tools and software used across campus. These sessions may be offered virtually or in person.
Web Operations provides guidance and training for website content, documents and digital publishing. This includes accessibility best practices for content in the CMS and public-facing materials.
CETL offers training and support for accessible course design, instructional materials and teaching practices, including the use of Canvas.
Departments may request customized training focused on their specific needs. Sessions can include practical guidance, examples and hands-on support to help improve accessibility across content and systems.
