Yes, you may precept other students outside of SVSU, as long as you can still fulfill your preceptorship commitment to SVSU.

 There is not a required number of hours you must precept in order to be eligible, however you must be actively precepting a student. The number of hours and details about the student assignments will be mutually agreed upon by you and the clinical coordinators.

No, you may enroll as a part-time student and will still receive the discount.

 Each semester you must pay for your tuition by the payment deadline, and then your discount will be issued to you in the form of a reimbursement at the end of the semester. Your reimbursement in a single calendar year may not exceed $5,250.

You need to have at least one year of practice experience as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse.

It depends on your APRN certification and the population that you serve, and whether or not the practice setting would be appropriate for a FNP or PMHNP student. For example, we have certified nurse midwives who precept students in women’s health areas, pediatric NPs in pediatric settings, and adult-gerontology NPs in geriatric care. The clinical coordinators will discuss the possibilities with you!
