Individuals who wish to appeal a parking citation for violation of SVSU ordinances must complete and submit the SVSU Parking Citation Appeal Form no later than ten (10) calendar days from the issuance date of the citation.

This information may also be submitted via email to, in person or by mail to:

Parking Services/University Police
Saginaw Valley State University
University Center, MI 48710

A response to the appeal will be sent via email or mail within five business days from the appeal receipt date.

Upon receipt of an appeal, Parking Services may ask for additional information which would substantiate the reason(s) for the appeal. Parking Services/University Police is the only University department authorized to grant an appeal.

All determinations made regarding parking violation appeals by the SVSU Parking Citation Appeal Board are final and are not subject to subsequent appeal.

If you decline to appeal or fail to pay the fine within 10 calendar days, the parking citation may be forwarded for collections to the designated collections agency.  Parking citations forwarded to a collection agency may also have a fee of $10 assessed in addition to the original fine.

Payment of citation fines can be completed on-line or in-person at Parking Services or Campus Financial Services Center.
