The Department of Modern Foreign Languages features a 24-station Computer Assisted Language Learning (CALL) Lab located in Brown Hall. The lab provides students with access to interactive language-learning technology, multimedia resources and specialized software designed to support language development and cultural understanding.
All 100- and 200-level language courses incorporate regular lab experiences, and some upper-level courses also utilize the space. During open lab hours, students may independently use a variety of language-learning programs and digital tools that complement coursework in French, German, Spanish and other languages. Resources include grammar and vocabulary practice, writing support, language keyboard tools and multimedia activities that strengthen listening, speaking, reading and writing skills.
The Media Center also offers additional language-learning resources, including software and materials for Arabic, Chinese, French, German, Japanese, Polish and Spanish, with additional languages available upon request. Students also have access to dictionaries, grammar reference materials and foreign-language publications to support their studies.
