SE&T Symposium

The 2026 SE&T Symposium will be held Friday, April 24, 2026, 8:30 AM - 4:00 PM in Curtiss Hall as part of the university-wide Student Showcase.

Registration

Step 1. (Required) Register each project with this form. (SVSU login required) - https://forms.office.com/r/5Y1dsWSqEp

For projects with two or more contributors, please have ONE person complete this form.  This form is the same as the Student Showcase form.

Step 2. (Highly recommended) Register your individual attendance with this form. (SVSU login required) - https://forms.office.com/r/EpkBSXAjBm

Every participating individual should fill out this attendance form.  This form is specifically for SE&T students and faculty.  This will help us have an accurate list of participants so that we can share updates and reminders.  Filling out this form will also help assure we have each person’s name spelled accurately in the program.

Registration Deadline: Friday, April 3, 2026

Contact Dr. Tony Crachiola if you have questions or need further assistance with the symposium.

About the symposium

Scope:   This annual symposium features the work of SE&T students and faculty. The student work can be of several types, including student research and design projects, special course work projects, or other original work. Examples of student research and design projects include independent study research projects, capstone and senior design projects, and extracurricular projects. Examples of special course work projects include laboratory independent projects, extensive research reports, literature reviews, etc. assigned to an entire class. Faculty are invited to present their research either through posters or oral presentations. Faculty are also invited to organize a special session such as a panel discussion or workshop. The symposium is open to the public.

Format:   The symposium will be organized like a professional society meeting. It will feature a poster session from 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM, followed by oral presentations starting at 1 PM.
