The Cardinal Partnership Program at Saginaw Valley State University (SVSU) serves as an outreach initiative within the SVSU The Charter Collaborative, dedicated to empowering Michigan’s public school academies and their students. Through this program, we bridge the gap between K-12 education and higher learning, creating pathways encouraging academic success, promoting access to higher education, and providing invaluable opportunities for students to envision their future at SVSU.

How We Help Students
Campus Visits and Outreach for SVSU Authorized Schools
Through organized campus visits, students from SVSU-authorized schools can experience campus life, explore college resources, and gain insights into higher education's possibilities. These visits allow students to connect with our university community and envision their future within a collegiate environment.
Scholarship Opportunities
Charter Partnership Program Scholarship: This scholarship is awarded to students who demonstrate academic potential and a commitment to their education. It embodies SVSU’s dedication to fostering a diverse and inclusive academic community.
Public School Academy Scholar Program: Focused on students from SVSU-authorized public academies, this scholarship promotes academic achievement and encourages students to pursue higher education, recognizing young scholars' hard work and dedication.
Transition Program and College Readiness Support
PSA Scholars enter SVSU’s Transition Program, a rigorous college readiness initiative offering extensive support inside and outside the classroom.
