The daily disciplined approach to VanBenschoten’s work is rooted in traditional leanings toward a love of paint and materials. Incorporating digital media with traditional techniques lends itself to the postmodern mixing of memes with historic undertones as he explores the relationship of figure to environment with humor, investigation and drama. Van Benschoten is a nationally and internationally exhibiting mixed media artist educator residing in Cincinnati OH. For more information.

March 22 - April 8, 2022

For some, the creative process starts at a very young age but doesn't come into fruition until the high school years. The Art Department at SVSU strongly supports this stage of creative development by high school students. This exhibition honors and celebrates the creative work being done through the efforts of high school teachers and their students. The work in this exhibition consists of a variety of different mediums including digital design, photography, painting, ceramics, and drawings. For more information.
