Previously known as Cyberspace, the University Art Gallery and the SVSU Art Department are hosting the Digital Space Exhibition. This is the fourth year for this show, which is a juried digital fine arts competition open to artists within the state of Michigan.

This year's juror is Christopher Schneider, a professional artist and photography adjunct at Lawrence Technological University and Oakland Community College. He obtained his MFA from Cranbrook Academy of Art, and is also the founder and gallery coordinator for Hatch: A Hamtramck Art Collective. Schneider has exhibited internationally, and recently won a $5,000 ArtPrize Pitch Night grant for Anonymous, an interactive sculpture created with fellow artist Nina Caruso.  For more info on this exhibition.

March 19th - April 13th, 2018
Reception: Thursday, March 22nd 4 - 7pm

For some, the creative process starts at a very young age but truly doesn't come into fruition until the high school years. The Art Department at SVSU strongly supports this stage of creative development by high school students. This exhibition honors and celebrates the great creative work being done through the efforts of high school teachers and their students. The exhibition consists of works created in a variety of different mediums including photography, painting, ceramics, mixed media and drawings.

This exhibition features student artwork from the following: H. H. Dow High School, Swan Valley High School, Freeland High School, Midland High School, Tuscola Technology Center, Heritage High School, Nouvel High School, and Hemlock High School.

April 23rd - May 11th, 2018
End of the Year Art Department Party / Reception: Thursday, April 26th 4 - 6pm
